The trail begins at Fu Tei BBQ Site, with the distance post from C6501 to C6509. The initial section is a flight of stone steps, but the ascend is not difficult, with the steps generally well-maintained and the steps are quite wide. There are decent tree shades too.

Soon there is a branch, taking the left trail continues the gradual ascend. At one point you can see the Lam Tei Irrigation Reservoir, the end of the trail.

Reaching the highest part of the hill, we began to see quite a lot of pine trees. In fact, near the peak of this hill there are a wide patch of those which are beautiful and created an impression of becoming in a foreign country.

Arriving at Tung Shing Pavilion, which is a crossroad from different trails, we continue on the leftmost branch and begin the descend. Soon the trail is along Fu Tei Hang, the stream leading to the Lam Tei Irrigation Reservoir, with clear water and large boulders.

There is a large pond called 'Hikers' Pool'. There are some people dipping in the pool but personally I think it is not too good to do that. Moving on there is a plaque on the side, which memorizes the planting of trees in the area in 1959.

Reaching the end of the trail, the Lam Tei Irrigation Reservoir, and walking on the dam with the warm sun and nice breeze on our face, it is certainly one of the most comfortable experiences. The reflections on the mirror-like surface also are amazing. Walking down the path toward Fuk Hang Tsuen there is a plaque memorizing the opening of the reservoir at 1957.

Overall a nice and relatively easy trail, just at the backyard of Tuen Mun.
