This section of Wilson Trail covers the distance post from W009 to W018, with the first half overlapping with HK Trail Section 5.

Going uphill, the trail is well-paved and maintained, so is fairly easy. Shortly you will see the Osborn Memorial, to commemorate the heroics of Sergeant Major John Osborn to sacrifice himself to protect his comrades during WWII.

On the way hill you can catch good view of HK Island south and in the distance Lamma Island with the signature chimneys on a clear day.

Soon you will reach the peak of Jardine's Lookout, with the trigonometrical Statue. Here it also offers a great view on the HK Island and Kowloon.

Continuing it is a descend, and on the left you will see the Mount Butler Quarry, now turning to a depot for the police as firing range and explosive storage.

Reaching the junction, turning left will lead to the Jardine's Lookout Path and Mount Butler Road, so we turn right to go uphill again, heading up Mount Butler. On the way up, you can see Tai Tam Reservoir in the distance. This is the more tiring section with some of the steps quite high.

There is also a cave on the way, part of the war-time constructs. This part of the trail is rougher but in dry weather it should pose no challenge for even beginners.

Soon there is another branch, and heading towards the sign showing the path leading to Siu Ma Shan, it is a short uphill path and you will see the antenna tower ahead.

Reaching the peak of Siu Ma Shan, there is a nice panoramic view of eastern HK Island and Kowloon. On the far right is Tseung Kwan O and the bridge under construction.

Descending down, you will arrive at Siu Ma Shan Bridge, the junction point going to Braemar Hill or Quarry Bay. Taking the right one will continue downhill towards Quarry Bay.

Soon reaching Quarry Bay Jogging Trail, turning left towards Braemar Hill, this section is comfortable and easy. Following the trail and turning downhill again to Mount Parker Road.

Arriving at a junction there is a small temple with a Guanyin statue, and you should continue towards Kornhill.

Reaching Mount Parker Road, turning left and a few steps away there is the path leading to Quarry Bay Tree Walk.

Continuing the easy trail, there are some more war-time constructs. First you will see a small building, with a tree now growing right in the middle.

Further on you will arrive at the Wartime Stoves. The first is the bigger among the two on this trail, with a total of 12 sets. They were constructed during WWII.

Then shortly you will see the other set of stoves.

Turning down the path towards Kornhill, there are a few streams before coming to the BBQ site. Further on you will start to see the buildings, and in no time arriving at Quarry Bay Reservoir Garden, and continue along Greig Road to go to King's Road, before turning right to the Taikoo MTR station Exit B, taking the subway to Lam Tin, the destination.
