Wineshark Cooking Class - Chicoree au Gratin 芝士焗娃娃菜


Ingredients (for 4):

  • Chicory - 2 
  • Butter - 2 tbsp
  • Flour - 2 tbsp
  • Milk - 1 cup
  • Parmesan cheese - 1 oz
  • White pepper powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Salt - 1 tsp
Procedures:

1. Break the chicory into the leaves and wash thoroughly.


2. Heat the butter and then add the flour in, cook under low heat for a while.


3. Add the milk and whisk to make a smooth sauce.


4. Blanch the chicory in hot water briefly.


5. Put the chicory in baking tray, and then pour in the white sauce on top.


6. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and then bake until the surface turns brown.
