• Take New Lantao Bus No. 3M departing from Tung Chung heading to Mui Wo, alight at the terminus
• Return by taking New Lantao Bus No. 3M back to Tung Chung

This first section of Lantau Trail is the easiest among all, starting at Mui Wo Ferry Terminal. The distance post is from at L001 to L004. 

After walking to the roundabout and crossing the road, you can start walk uphill on South Lantau Road. 

There is generally not much to see, with only a glimpse of the villages on the way up. 

The trail ends at Nam Shan BBQ Site. And for those who want to do a short detour, can also include Nam Shan Tree Walk before heading back.
