- Take MTR and alight at Quarry Bay Station, then head up Mount Parker Road beside Quarry Bay Municipal Building for about 1.8 km to the start of Hong Pak Country Trail.
- Return by walking for another 0.5 km towards Greig Road, then walk towards King's Road

After walking up the uphill Mount Parker Road for almost 2 km, the start of this trail is on the left, and soon you will be on a dirt path instead of the concrete road, with good shades throughout. There are many big rocks on the path, and sometimes you will need to walk among them, offering an interesting experience for the hikers. At the same time, in spring season you can find many beautiful Chinese New Year flowers.
While fairly easy, there are not that many great scenery, with the most notable and famous being the 'Dinosaur Rock'. Just on the side of the trail, easily accessible for a close look, the rock resembles the head of a T-Rex. Definitely the highlight of the whole trail in my opinion.
Then the trail starts to descend, and at certain points you can catch a glimpse of the nearby hills. Soon you will find a pavilion and the trail begins to have quite a number of branches. Following the main path very soon you will reach the end of trail, and can continue along the way towards Kornhills.
