There is a parking lot right at the start of the trail, so it is a convenient one for those driving. Walking down a flight of steps one will reach the stream feeding from the Bride's Pool and continuing on to Plover Cove Reservoir. The water is crystal clear and there are plenty of wildlife and fish.
Crossing the bridge and passing by the BBQ site, one would reach the second bridge and crossing it there is a junction, with the right path leading up to the Mirror Pool while the left going to Bride's Pool. We would take the right path first.
Walking on the uphill path soon one would reach the Mirror Pool, fed by a waterfall. Even though one could attempt to climb down to the pool from the end of the trail, it was not encouraged as it could be dangerous. On the trail we also saw a snake called Red-Necked Keelback, which is poisonous, bringing us a bit of extra excitement.
Returning back to the junction and proceeding on to Bride's Pool, soon there is another fork. We would take the right one, and in no time one would reach the pool. However, this path also was the safer one which stays at the higher path and would not offer much view of the pool. For those who want to take a closer look they would need to take the other path.
There is a small platform near the Bride's Pool Waterfall where one can have a glimpse of the waterfall feeding the pool and the pool underneath. Again, climbing out and down to the pool was not advisable as it could be dangerous.
Continuing on the trail one would reach the Bride's Pool Bridge, with more than 100 years in history, serving as a main pathway between Wu Kau Tang and Chung Mei. There is also a pot-hole, a natural wonder where the water and pebbles, through continuous tumbling on the rock, gradually forming a hole.
Finishing the trail and walking up the steps one would reach Bride's Pool Road again, and can walk back to the starting point and take the green minibus back to Tai Po Market.
