This restaurant is located on 6th floor of Cityplaza, with its name coming from the first letter of four countries: France, Italy, Greece, and Spain, offering customers cuisines of Mediterranean flavours in a casual and neighbourhood dining ambience.
The design is neat, with nice wooden floor, cozy banquette and booth seating in addition to the more traditional tables and chairs. There are classic terracotta and azure blues, with Venetian lighting decorating the exterior walls. An outdoor terrace is also another option in good weather.
I order a bottle of Martin Codex Albarino 2021 ($480) to pair with the food. It has nice notes of fresh herbs, green apples, and citrusy, not too much of the white peach I would be expecting though. A simple and easy drinking wine.
Ordering a la carte, we start with Crab Cannelloni ($148). The delicately sweet crabmeat has been mixed with a spiced dill cream, wrapped in thin strips of cucumber, and having some flying fish roes, edible flowers, and micro-greens on top. Underneath is a smooth wasabi-avocado mousse. Quite good.
Next, we have F.I.G.S. Greek Salad ($138). A good portion size, it has a mix of Feta, cucumber, tomato, bell pepper, olives, figs, and walnuts. The vegetables are fresh, and the dressing is also spot-on with the right balance of acidity to make the salad lively. Nice.
The Ultimate Pork Taco ($88 for two pieces) has pulled suckling pig, refreshing salsa which has a slight spiciness, and the tangy-crispy surprise which is the pig skin. While the seasoning of the pulled pork is good, the pig skin is unfortunately not very crispy and tough, making it difficult to chew.
Another signature of the restaurant is Smoky Pulpo ($158), which is Spanish-style grilled octopus with paprika and crispy potato. The octopus is nicely cooked, with good bite but not rubbery. The abundance paprika makes it appealing in taste and the potato, for me, is even better than the octopus. Nice.
Then we have Artisanal Long Pizza Board with Smoked Salmon ($228). The rectangular pizza has been cut into twelve pieces, with each having a slice of smoked salmon, cheese, and finely chopped chives on top. While not fancy, it is surprisingly delicious and the two of us finished all pieces without problem.
Coming to dessert, I have Churros with Chocolate Dip ($88), with the deep-fried dough having a slight crunchy surface while still soft on the inside. Dusted with cinnamon sugar, it is a rewarding treat dipping with the chocolate. Highly recommend.
My wife has Vanilla Gelato ($88) which is decent, nothing special really but the good thing is that it is not too sweet.
Service is reasonable, but the staff can perhaps
introduce the dishes when serving. The bill on the night is $1,588. Quite
reasonably priced, it is a decent neighbourhood restaurant and no wonder being
full house in this evening.
