Wineshark Cooking Class - Chicken Ball with Lotus Roots 蓮藕肉丸子


Ingredients (for 4):
  • Chicken fillet - 200 g
  • Potato starch - 1 tbsp
  • Egg - 1/2 
  • Sugar - 1 tsp
  • Soy sauce - 1 tsp
  • Salt - 1/2 tsp
  • Lotus roots - 100 g
  • Sake - 1 tbsp
  • Mirin - 1 tbsp
  • Soy sauce - 1 tbsp
  • Chili powder - dashes
Procedures:

1. Mince the chicken fillet.


2. Chop the lotus roots into small pieces.


3. Add potato starch, whisked egg, sugar, soy sauce and salt to the minced chicken. Mix well.


4. Add the chopped lotus roots and mix well.


5. Mix sake, mirin and soy sauce together.


6. Scoop a tbsp of the mix, then put onto the heated wok. pan-fry for 3 minutes until one side has turned golden.


7. Flip the meatball over and continue to pan-fry the other side for 3 minutes.


8. Pour in the sauce and stir-fry thoroughly.


9. Put the meatball on serving dish, then sprinkle with chili powder.
